ABOUT US
Norths Girls Rugby Program is moving into it's 9th year since being established. We cater to players of all skill levels, aged 11 - 18, with teams participating in the BJRU XVs & 7s Competitions.
Our objective is to provide girls the opportunity to learn to play rugby, in a fun, safe and supportive team environment, while developing each individual player's match fitness, skills and technique.
Female players aged 5 through to 12 can participate alongside the boys in the boys competition. Once they reach the age of 11, they can then move to the Girls XV and 7's competition.
Players showing exceptional skill level for their age, may be assessed to play outside of their correct age group, giving them the opportunity to be challenged and develop their skills further.
2024 will see the BJRU competition head into their 4th year of developing girls rugby to XVs (15 a side) Norths Junior Rugby is excited to continue on this path which is crucial in developing a strong pathway to the Norths Senior Woman's programme.Â
Term 1
Come and Try Day
Norths will be holding a Come and Try day for all girls that wish to give Rugby Union a go. Dates/times are to be confirmed on our Teamapp calender and Facebook page.
Rugby XVs Skills Development Sessions
Expected start date: Sunday 20th February
Ages 11-18 are welcome. All participants must be signed either for the Full Season or as Training Only Participant.
Sessions are expected to run for 6 weeks
Term 2Â
Girls XVs
Norths will look to field a XV team in U12's, U14's, U16's.
We will be taking all U18 EOI and will look to combine with other local clubs for this age group.
Term 3Â
Girls 7's
Norths will field teams in U12, U14 and U16. We are open to and will take all U18 EOI
TRAINING
Training is held on the following days & times:
Wednesdays -Â6pm - 7.30 all ages
